Service Manager
An outstanding new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Service Manager to join an exceptional care home service based within the Liverpool area. As a Service Manager you will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.
Our client delivers a wide spectrum of services ranging from elderly residential/nursing care, home care, community care hubs, supported living, extra care, respite, day care, specialist care in the fields of Acquired Brain Injuries and mental health.
As a Service Manager your day to day duties include:
To utilise authentic leadership, role modelling and inspirational skills to motivate the team to deliver excellent quality of care
To become the person in charge responsible for the day-to-day running of the Service with 24 hour responsibility for the care of the Service Users.
To manage the effective use of resources, including the financial performance of the Service, and maintain high levels of occupancy
To be a good role model for all employees, being approachable and providing a regular presence and visibility with all levels of employees as well as being consistent in all actions and decisions.
To set and maintain clear standards of care within the Service in line with the companies Vision To provide the quality of care we would want for our loved ones, policies and procedures.
To manage effectively the Services budgets and deliver the Key Performance Indicators set for the Service.
To ensure that the Service complies with all statutory obligations and relevant legislation (e.g. environmental health, health and safety).
To enable Service Users to control their own financial affairs, where possible, and finances monitored with up to date accurate records kept of all transactions. In the case of the Manager being the appointee for any Service User, the financial control of their affairs must be undertaken
An ideal Service Manager must have these skills and experiences as they are beneficial for this position:
Valid NMC Pin is essential and a good working knowledge of CQC standards, NMC guidelines and the Health and Social Act 2008
Be able to communicate and engage effectively with our service users, their families and colleagues, good interpersonal and working relationship skills are essential
Have a good understanding of the disabilities, health and social care needs, of service users and assist those who have mobility or continence needs, using the appropriate aids and equipment
It is essential to be Health and Safety aware, to ensure the safety of our services users and colleagues
The successful Service Manager will receive an excellent salary of up to £48,000 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role for 37.5 hours a week working on Day Shifts only. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
