Leo's Restaurant
Located inside Liverpool’s Gala Casino in the Queens Dock, Leo's Restaurant is a chic brasserie that is always filled with a fun crowd. Modern and relaxed in style, the restaurant is the perfect place to celebrate your luck at the roulette table and Leo's also attracts locals who love to pop by for a hearty meal. The menu is a classic collection of British, European and Chinese dishes which is annotated with excellent wine pairings, and we love the spicy chorizo, bacon and mushroom tartlet topped with Béarnaise sauce; the pan-fried duck breast in a honey and cherry brandy sauce with citrus sautéed potatoes; and the steamed syrup sponge pudding served with custard for dessert.

Situated in a former coach and carriage works on Liverpool’s infamous Hope Street, The London Carriage Works is among the city’s emerging restaurant icons. Sister to the Hope Street Hotel, The London Carriage Works has quickly earned a similarly fantastic reputation with plaudits raining down from both local and national press. Slick and modern, The London Carriage Works is spacious and attractive, a complement to the food of top chef Paul Askew, who heads up a formidable kitchen team. Tipped for a Michelin nod, Askew is dedicated to sourcing ingredients of the highest quality, many of the kitchen’s produce hailing from the North West itself. The Side Door Bistro
This chic, colourful little bistro in Liverpool's theatreland has been attracting luvvies for a long time, and with good reason. The understated yet vibrant interior at The Side Door Bistro – with stripped rustic floorboards, whitewashed walls and bright red accents – has a Parisian ambience. The Side Door's location in theatre district makes it perfect for pre or post show meals. There are up to 12 wines at under £20, and we recommend the oregano salmon fillet with red cabbage, chorizo potato cake and spiced Moroccan butter; fried lamb with houmus and flatbread; and chef Sean Miller's famous sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce and vanilla cream.
