Newsham Park Hospital was built in 1876. The building has a floor space of 99,000 sq ft, and is in its own grounds
of approximately 3 acres. It has a main hall and several open plan wards. A school, a chapel and a mortuary.
The building was originally built as a children’s orphanage and later operated as a general hospital with an A&E
unit and finally as a lunatic asylum.

This building looks like everyone has just upped and left…who will we find wandering the corridors and wards of
this remarkable place. Anyone really brave enough to do a lone vigil in the mortuary where the fridges still lie? Does
anyone want to try one of the 18 naughty punishment cupboards in the old orphanage?

This event is not for the faint hearted! Are you brave enough to join us for what will be a night of extreme ghost hunting?
